Welcome to Archbishop Janani Luwum Memorial College – Mucwini, a Church of Uganda-founded secondary school located in Mucwini West Sub-county, Kitgum District, Northern Uganda.

Welcome to Archbishop Janani Luwum Memorial College – Mucwini, a Church of Uganda-founded secondary school located in Mucwini West Sub-county, Kitgum District, Northern Uganda.
Established in 1982, the College was founded in memory of Archbishop Janani Luwum, the former Archbishop of the Church of Uganda who was killed in 1977. Today, the school continues his legacy by providing education to boys and girls from Mucwini, Kitgum District and the surrounding communities.
Our school provides both Ordinary Level (O-Level) and Advanced Level (A-Level) education, preparing learners for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations.

Learning for a Better Future
Archbishop Janani Luwum Memorial College began in humble circumstances, with lessons initially conducted under mango trees at Kangalaba Primary School. Over the years, the school has grown through the support of government, the church, parents and the wider community.
Today, the school continues working towards expanding its infrastructure and improving the learning environment so that every student can receive the quality education they deserve.
We believe education is not only about passing examinations. It is also about developing responsible, confident and productive young people.
