Our Values
Our History
Archbishop Janani Luwum Memorial College was established in 1982 under the Church of Uganda.
The College was founded in memory of Archbishop Janani Luwum, former Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, who was killed in 1977.
His life and legacy remain an important part of the identity of the institution. The College’s location near his burial place further strengthens its historical and religious significance within the region.
Our Academic Role
The College provides secondary education and prepares students for Uganda’s national examinations at both O-Level and A-Level.
Our academic programme seeks to provide learners with the knowledge and abilities they require to progress to higher levels of education, training and future careers.
The school serves both boys and girls at Ordinary and Advanced Level, drawing learners from Mucwini, Kitgum District and neighbouring communities.
